Adding and configuring a product attribute
Go to Attributes
From the WordPress Dashboard go to Products » Attributes.
Add Attribute
Note that there are 3 types of attributes you can select:
- Label: Display a simple label for each product variation.
- Color: Displays a color element for each product variation.
- Image: Displays a image element for each product variation.
On the left side of the screen, fill in the fields, select your preferences and click Add Attribute.
Note that on the right side of the screen, a table with the registered attributes allows you to Edit or Delete the items.
Configure Terms
In the attributes table, hover over an item and click Configure Terms.
Add or Edit Terms
Add: Fill in the fields, select your preferences and click Add New.
Edit: Hover over an item and click Edit to configure a term. Select your preferences and click Update.
Setting an attribute to a product variation
Edit the Product
From the WordPress Dashboard go to Products » (Edit Your Product)
Set Attributes
In Product Data, go to the Attributes tab and add the items you want to link to your product variations.
Configure Variations
In Product Data, go to the Variations tab and choose your preferences.
Configure Swatches
In Product Data, go to the Swatches tab and choose your preferences.
In the Attribute Type field, you can select:
- Default: This will bring global adjustments to Products »Attributes.
- Your Attribute: This will allow you to adjust the attribute for the product you are editing.
