Step-by-Step Guide
- Upload a Cover Image
Navigate to your WordPress Media Library and upload an image that will serve as the cover for your video. This image will act as the preview in your product gallery. - Attach the Video URL to the Image
- In the Media Library, select the image you just uploaded.
- Locate the field labeled “Video URL” (see the reference image: Imgur Link).
- Enter the full URL of your YouTube or Vimeo video in this field.
- Save the URL
Once you’ve entered the URL, simply click outside the field. The URL will automatically save and associate with the image. - Add the Image to Your Product Gallery
Include the image in the Product Image Gallery of the WooCommerce product you’re editing. The video will now appear as part of the product gallery (see the result here: Imgur Link).
Important Notes
- Video Sources: Only YouTube and Vimeo URLs are supported. Videos uploaded directly to the WordPress gallery will not function with this feature.
- Dynamic Playback: When users click on the image in the product gallery, the associated video will play, creating an engaging visual experience.
